“I believe it is the duty of the scientific community to support our peers affected by conflicts, wars, or political unrest, to help them continue their research work and establish productive careers in their host country, and eventually contribute to rebuilding the scientific enterprise in their country of origin.” – Florence Chaverneff, IIE-SRF Ambassador
Through the IIE-SRF Alliance, we connect IIE-SRF fellows and alumni to resources and opportunities that will help them reestablish their academic careers. We work with individuals and institutions from across the academic, not‐for‐profit, and corporate sectors who offer critical pro-bono expertise and services to support scholars’ career advancement and professional development during or after their fellowships.
More than 120 IIE-SRF scholars have benefited greatly from the generous support of our partners, resulting in membership in academic societies, conference presentations, job offers, co-published articles, and more. By becoming an Alliance partner, you or your organization can help expand this impact and make a significant difference in the life and career of a scholar who is seeking support to continue their important academic work. There are no fees to join.

Ambassadors are individuals who commit to offering practical support and services to IIE-SRF or IIE-SRF scholars. Services that an Ambassador may provide include:
An Ambassador may choose to become an Advisor, which is one of the most impactful ways to assist a displaced scholar in reestablishing an academic career. An Advisor works directly with an IIE-SRF scholar in a fixed-term, one-on-one relationship to help them reach their academic and professional goals. |
