Seth R. Bergstein is a Managing Director and Head of the Global Services Group in Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley in New York. Mr. Bergstein founded the Firm’s global effort in the services space in 2001 and is responsible for companies providing consulting, professional services, information technology services, business process outsourcing, processing, data & analytics and business services. Mr. Bergstein and his team advise boards of directors, management teams and financial sponsors on shareholder value creation and related activities including strategy, mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, capital structure, and restructuring. Over the last 15 years, Mr. Bergstein has been involved in more than 300 transactions, $40BN of capital raising and $100BN of M&A. Mr. Bergstein has been a member of the Management Committee of Investment Banking since 2008. He graduated with a B.A. from Wesleyan University in 1988, joined Morgan Stanley as a financial analyst, graduated with an MBA from The Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in 1992, and rejoined Morgan Stanley in New York. From 1993 - 2001, Seth was based in Chicago.
Seth and his wife Alexandra live in Greenwich, CT, with their three children, William (18), Max (16) and Ellie (12). He is a Trustee of the Jewish Board and of the Institute of International Education, where he serves on the Board's Scholar Rescue Committee.
